This is a self-portrait that was born in my dreams and has inspired an entire collection of work. The works exist at the intersection of femininity, fertility, freedom & sexuality where I sought to uncover the fragility, power & beauty of the female spirit. You can watch me create this work here.

Over a decade ago, I was told that it would not be possible to conceive children without medical intervention. My work has always been influenced by my life experiences yet I never explored or processed this enormous life event. I wanted to make work centered around my story where I contemplate what it means to be a woman enriching my narrative through the use of abstract, figurative drawing, vivid color and texture.

It’s a window and a mirror and it’s very raw for me.
